About The Position

The Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Social Psychology (PSY2110, Section B00) during the Fall 2026 semester. This course covers topics such as social perception, attitudes, prejudice, interpersonal attraction, social influence, aggression, groups, and leadership. The course is offered in person on Wednesdays from 19:00 to 22:00. The University of Ottawa is committed to diversity, inclusion, and creating a barrier-free work environment. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Advanced knowledge of the course content area (Social Psychology)
  • Competence in second language: Passive
  • Successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Social Psychology (PSY2110, Section B00) during the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be canceled.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
