About The Position

Introduction to contemporary cognitive psychology. Origin of cognitive and symbolic processes. Historic foundations. Acquisition of various kinds of knowledge. Analysis of cognitive strategies. The course includes laboratory activities. Current research in cognition. This course is proposed in person.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. In Psychology with thesis in Cognition
  • Competence in second language: Passive
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
  • All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the originally assigned mode of course delivery (in-person or virtual) and may not modify it without prior approval from the Vice-Dean of Governance.
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat promptly if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
