About The Position
This position is for a Student Part-Time Professor to teach PSY3508 Perception during the Fall 2026 semester. The course covers the problem of perception, its nature, principles, and psychological, physiological, and philosophical aspects. It includes laboratory activities and current research in perception. The course is offered in person and is scheduled for Mondays from 11:30 to 13:00 and Thursdays from 13:00 to 14:30, with a lab session on Thursdays from 14:30 to 16:00. The expected enrollment is 60 students, and the course is worth 3 credits.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Psychology with thesis in Perception or Cognition.
- Competence in French (language of instruction).
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
Nice To Haves
- Passive competence in a second language.
Responsibilities
- Teach PSY3508 Perception course.
- Conduct laboratory activities.
- Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
- Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
- Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in case of an anticipated absence.
