About The Position

This position is for a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach POL4378 - Comparative Politics: China during the 2026 Fall Semester. The course will study the political processes and institutions in the People’s Republic of China, as well as the relationship between politics, culture, and society in historical and contemporary perspectives. The course will be offered online in a scheduled, synchronous format with live instruction. The University offers training in online course delivery. The teaching method may be modified due to public health measures or other reasons. Requirements

Ph.D. or Ph.D. coursework in the field of Comparative Politics: China.
Teaching experience in the field.
Competence in a second language (active).
Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training.
Ability to apply using a worker profile in Workday if currently an employee of the University of Ottawa.
