About The Position

The Strategy Intelligence Team helps health system leaders understand future healthcare developments, their implications for organizations, and potential responses. The team combines subject-matter expertise and analytics to provide insights on topics such as finance and payment, ambulatory strategy, digital health and AI, and clinical service lines including cardiovascular care, cancer, neurosciences, orthopedics, and pediatrics. The graduate intern supports projects that translate healthcare research and data into practical, actionable takeaways, such as slide decks, white papers, case studies, and strategic frameworks. The work includes researching and synthesizing industry and clinical trends, analyzing data, and contributing to client-facing materials. The intern may interact with clients and members, colleagues across Vizient, and senior leaders, while learning about issues health system leaders face as they plan for growth and navigate industry dynamics. This is a full-time, paid, 10-week summer internship. Interns participate in formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to interact with senior leaders. The program begins June 1, 2027, and ends August 6, 2027. The pay rate is $25 per hour. Interns are assigned a supervisor who mentors and develops their business skills and monitors their work experiences. Interns set goals, work toward deadlines, and participate in community service projects. The position requires participation in the hybrid internship schedule, including an in-person Chicago orientation and other required program activities.
