Seen Health•Los Angeles, CA

About The Position

Seen Health is a culturally focused, technology-enabled healthcare organization delivering senior care through the PACE model. The Strategy and Operations team tackles the organization’s most complex operating challenges and growth priorities. This senior individual contributor will help improve the current care center and support growth from 400 to 500 participants, while preparing for new centers, partners, acquisitions, and service lines. The role requires practical judgment across clinical outcomes, day-to-day operations, and affordability, and works directly with senior leaders in clinical, finance, health plan, growth, and technology functions. The role will strengthen and scale care workflows, develop new capabilities in open areas of the care model, and help determine which capabilities should be built internally, delivered through hybrid models, or outsourced. It will also build and operate workflows that connect care delivery and health plan operations, develop medical economics reporting and review processes, and link operational and clinical changes to cost and capitation economics. The position will lead complex integrations and the operational launch of new centers, markets, service lines, partnerships, and acquisitions. The employee will develop launch plans, coordinate resourcing and readiness, and support operations through stabilization and handoff. The role also involves building agents and automations for high-leverage workflows and establishing standards for testing, monitoring, return on investment, and appropriate compliance oversight. The position is based in Los Angeles, requires the ability to commute to Alhambra, and involves regular onsite work with care teams. Relocation benefits are available. The annual pay rate is $110,000 to $160,000, with equity included as part of a founding team package.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of managed care operations experience spanning care delivery and health plan operations, ideally including both.
  • 3–7 years of healthcare experience with substantial expertise in at least one U.S. healthcare domain.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following: care delivery, utilization or care management, risk adjustment, rate setting, health plan operations, or healthcare finance; ability to work credibly across the other areas.
  • Demonstrated ownership of clinical, financial, or operational outcomes, such as quality, avoidable utilization, cost per member per month, medical loss ratio, or enrollment growth.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Based in Los Angeles / San Gabriel Valley and able to work onsite with care teams regularly.
  • Ability to commute to Alhambra.

Nice To Haves

  • Startup, consulting, or other fast-paced environment experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Improve, standardize, and scale internal care workflows across teams and sites without increasing headcount proportionally.
  • Identify open problem areas in the care model, define problems, build initial solutions, assess outcomes and cost effects, and recommend whether to operate, hand off, or discontinue each solution.

  • Contribute to the playbook for launching new markets and service lines.
  • Build agents and automations for high-leverage workflows and establish standards for testing, monitoring, and return on investment.
  • Work with compliance on HIPAA-covered tools, business associate agreements, and human-in-the-loop review for clinical and regulatory decisions.
  • Take ownership of operations connecting care delivery and the health plan; make workflows lean, automated, and audit-ready, then operate them until stable and hand them off.
  • Develop medical economics visibility, including medical loss ratio and participant- and cost-of-service-level profit and loss reporting and review cadence.
  • Connect clinical and operational changes to cost per member per month and capitation economics, and explain changes in financial results.
  • Lead complex integrations across departments, partners, and entities for new service lines, acquired practices, and partnerships.
  • Assess proposed new centers, markets, service lines, partnerships, and acquisitions with Growth and Business Development.
  • Own launch plans, resourcing, and operating readiness for committed initiatives through stabilization and handoff.
