Strategist

Stand Together•Arlington, VA

About The Position

As a Strategist on Stand Together’s Strategic Analysis team, you will help issue teams turn difficult questions into clear plans. The team builds research, insights, and standards for Priority Initiatives, including work on issues such as Transforming Education and Building Strong and Safe Communities. You will work alongside an initiative team from early strategy development through the creation of final materials, drawing on research, internal knowledge, and organizational experts to develop points of view and strategies that staff and stakeholders can use. The role brings analytical rigor to issue leaders’ challenging questions while supporting—not owning—the strategy. It is suited to someone who can work calmly amid ambiguity, synthesize substantial information into a clear point of view, and help other teams translate strategy into impact. You will also help strengthen shared standards, tools, and frameworks for planning and assessing work. Stand Together describes its culture as rooted in Principle Based Management®, emphasizing dignity, openness, bottom-up empowerment, entrepreneurship, innovation, and transformation. The organization reports a community of more than 1,300 employees. The anticipated base salary range is $110,000–$140,000 per year, with additional bonus earnings potentially representing a meaningful part of total compensation. Compensation decisions consider experience, capabilities, demonstrated skills, role responsibilities, and expected contribution.
