About The Position

The Strategic Services Logistics Coordinator will oversee Less Than Truckload (LTL) operations within an assigned territory. The role supports day-to-day operations by quoting and routing LTL freight, providing customer service, and tracking and tracing shipments. It also supports the sales team in closing new business and works with the Strategic Sales Manager to advance the department’s strategic vision. The position reports to the Strategic Sales Manager - LTL.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of transportation operations experience.
• At least 2 years of demonstrated customer service experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to facilitate training and speak to peers and groups.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and adjust plans as needed.
• Willingness to collaborate as part of a team and share ideas.
• Understanding of IEL’s sales process and regulations and processes for LTL freight, or the ability to be trained as an operations expert in LTL.

Nice To Haves

• Direct experience with LTL operations or sales.
• Experience with LTL, FTL, international freight, or warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day LTL operations, including quoting and routing freight services.
• Provide customer service and respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely manner.
• Track and trace shipments, make check calls, and accurately update internal and external systems.
• Support the sales team in closing new business.
• Work with the Strategic Sales Manager to support the department’s strategic vision.
• Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate customer service and sales growth.
• Demonstrate knowledge of company solutions in interactions with customers and prospective customers.
• Build partnerships with LTL carriers, including negotiating W&I’s, claims, and support initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
