Storeroom Supervisor (Full Time)
About The Position
The Storeroom Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities in a storeroom or stockroom at Texas Health Resources Fort Worth. The role supervises associates who order, receive, store, issue, and ship inventory, and ensures supplies are adequate and stored to preserve quality. The supervisor maintains a FIFO system to minimize waste, plans storeroom layout, addresses inventory discrepancies, and communicates recommendations about non-usable, slow-moving, and excess stock to management. The position is full time, Monday through Friday with hours that may vary; weekends are included. The pay range is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Two years of previous inventory management experience required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise associates who order, receive, and put away inventory.
- Supervise associates who issue or ship materials.
- Ensure stocks and supplies are adequate and stored in a manner that preserves their quality.
- Ensure the FIFO system is used to minimize waste.
- Plan the layout and design of the storeroom, considering stock turnover, size, and weight.
- Communicate with management and make recommendations regarding non-usable, slow-moving, and excess stock.
- Resolve discrepancies between inventory and stock-control records.
- Assist vendors in gaining access to delivery areas, such as gates and storerooms, and supervise while the area is unsecured.
- Cover shifts for storeroom employees who are on vacation, sick, or otherwise absent.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
