About The Position

The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, and maintaining inventory of departmental supplies and food items, as well as maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The position supports efficient Food Service Department operations and follows department procedures, company ordering protocols, food-safety guidelines, and security and safety practices.

Requirements

At least 1 year of previous storeroom experience.

Responsibilities

Inventory and maintain food and other supplies to support efficient Food Service Department operations.
Store food and supplies in appropriate containers and designated storage areas according to department guidelines.
Maintain records and logs of storage temperatures for perishable food items.
Date, label, and rotate stock so older products are used first.
Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company ordering protocols.
Secure designated areas, including areas containing items with theft or safety risks, and follow storeroom security procedures.
Transport food and supplies in suitable containers or vehicles so they arrive safely and intact.
Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
Report needed equipment maintenance or repairs to the appropriate resources.
Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time.
Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS sheets.
Use equipment according to department safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
