Storeroom Attendant (Full Time)
About The Position
The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, and inventorying departmental supplies and food, while maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The role supports the efficient operation of the Food Service Department and helps ensure food and supplies are stored, handled, and distributed safely and according to department procedures. This is a full-time position at Ballad Health – Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. The schedule is 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with days that may vary. The fixed pay rate is $14.25 per hour. Employment is contingent on passing a criminal background check and drug screening after an offer; nicotine testing is not required.

Responsibilities
- Inventory and maintain food and other supplies needed for efficient department operations.
- Store food and supplies in appropriate containers and storage areas according to department guidelines.
- Maintain records and logs of storage temperatures for perishable food items.
- Date, label, and rotate stock so older products are used first.
- Order food and supplies according to company specifications, protocols, and procedures.
- Secure designated areas, including those containing potentially dangerous chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and follow storeroom security procedures.
- Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure they arrive safely and intact.
- Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
- Report equipment maintenance and repair needs to the appropriate resources.
- Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time and in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS sheets.
- Use equipment according to department safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
