About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Storeroom Attendant at St Joseph/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. The position is responsible for receiving, storing, and inventorying departmental supplies and food, and maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The role follows department and company procedures to preserve food quality and safety, safeguard supplies, and support efficient Food Service Department operations. Training is available. The schedule is Monday through Friday with hours that may vary on AM shifts, and rotating weekends are included. The pay range is $14.50 to $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Inventory and maintain food and other supplies to support efficient Food Service Department operations.
Store food and supplies in appropriate containers and designated areas according to department guidelines.
Maintain records and logs of storage temperatures for perishable food items.
Date, label, and rotate stock so that the oldest products are used first.
Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company ordering procedures.
Secure designated areas containing items such as potentially dangerous chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and follow storeroom security procedures.
Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure they arrive safely and intact.
Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
Report equipment maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate resources.
Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time.
Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and MSDS sheets.
Use equipment according to department safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
