STOREROOM SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Storeroom Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities in a storeroom or stockroom. This full-time position is located at Texas Health Resources Fort Worth in Fort Worth, Texas. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary; weekends are included. The pay range is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour. Two years of previous inventory management experience is required. The supervisor oversees associates who order, receive, put away, issue, or ship inventory. The role ensures that supplies are adequate and stored to preserve quality, and that the FIFO system is used to minimize waste. The supervisor also plans storeroom layout, communicates stock recommendations to management, resolves inventory record discrepancies, assists vendors with delivery access, and covers shifts for absent storeroom employees.
Requirements
- Two years of previous inventory management experience.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise associates who order, receive, and put away inventory.
- Supervise associates who issue or ship materials.
- Ensure stocks and supplies are adequate and stored in a manner that preserves their quality.
- Ensure the FIFO system is used to minimize waste.
- Plan the layout and design of the storeroom, considering stock turnover, size, and weight.
- Communicate with management and make recommendations regarding non-usable, slow-moving, and excess stock.
- Resolve discrepancies between inventory and stock-control records.
- Assist vendors in gaining access to deliver and supervise them while the area is unsecure.
- Cover shifts for storeroom employees who are on vacation, sick, or otherwise absent.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
