About The Position

The Storeroom/Delivery associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and managing inventory for departmental food and supplies, while maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The role follows company procedures and food-safety standards to ensure supplies are stored, handled, and transported safely and efficiently. The position is full time at Hackley School Upper in Tarrytown, New York.

Requirements

• Previous knowledge of food allergies and food production.
• Receiving and storeroom experience.
• A valid driver's license and good driving record may be required when transporting supplies on behalf of the company.

Responsibilities

• Inventory and maintain food and other supplies to support efficient operation of the Food Service Department.
• Store food and supplies in appropriate containers and designated areas according to department guidelines.
• Maintain logs documenting storage temperatures for perishable food items.
• Date, label, and rotate stock so the oldest products are used first.
• Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company protocols.
• Secure designated areas containing theft-sensitive items, chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and follow storeroom security procedures.
• Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure they arrive safely and intact.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
• Report needed equipment maintenance or repairs to the appropriate resources.
• Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately and on time.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS sheets, and operate equipment according to safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
