About The Position

The Storeroom/Delivery associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and maintaining inventory of departmental supplies and food, as well as keeping storage areas sanitary. The position supports efficient Food Service Department operations by managing stock, following food-safety and storage procedures, and transporting food and supplies safely. This is a full-time position at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, with AM and PM shifts available. The listed pay range is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Inventory and maintain food and other supplies to support efficient Food Service Department operations.
Store food and supplies in appropriate containers and designated storage areas according to department guidelines.
Maintain records and logs of storage temperatures for perishable food items.
Date, label, and rotate stock so older products are used first.
Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company ordering procedures.
Secure designated areas and follow storeroom security procedures to safeguard associates and protect potentially dangerous chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure they arrive safely and intact.
Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
Report equipment maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate resources.
Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time.
Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS sheets, and operate equipment according to department safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
