About The Position

The Storeroom/Delivery associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and inventorying departmental supplies and food, while maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The role supports efficient food service operations by managing stock, following food-safety and security procedures, transporting supplies safely, and completing required records and reports. The position is full-time at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Days and hours may vary.

Requirements

A valid driver's license and good driving record may be required when transporting supplies on behalf of the company.

Previous storeroom experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Inventory and maintain food and other supplies to support efficient Food Service Department operations.
Store food and supplies in the correct containers and designated storage areas according to department guidelines.
Maintain records and logs of storage temperatures for perishable food items.
Date, label, and rotate stock so older products are used first.
Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company ordering protocols.
Secure areas containing items vulnerable to theft, dangerous chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and follow storeroom security procedures.
Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure they arrive safely and intact.
Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
Report equipment maintenance and repair needs to appropriate resources.
Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time.
Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS sheets.
Use equipment in accordance with department safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
