About The Position

The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, and inventorying departmental supplies and food items, while maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The role is based in New York, NY, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. No previous experience is required. The fixed pay rate is $28.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

Inventory and maintain food and other supplies needed for efficient operation of the Food Service Department.
Store food and supplies in designated containers and areas according to department guidelines to prevent spoilage.
Maintain records and logs documenting storage temperatures of perishable food items.
Date, label, and rotate stock so the oldest products are used first.
Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company ordering procedures.
Secure designated areas containing items such as theft-sensitive goods, dangerous chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and follow storeroom security procedures.
Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure they arrive safely and intact.
Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
Report equipment maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate resources.
Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately and by prescribed deadlines.
Select and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and MSDS sheets, and use equipment according to department safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow company policies and procedures, including required protective gloves, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
