STOREROOM ATTENDANT (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, and inventorying departmental supplies and food, while maintaining sanitation in storage areas. The role supports efficient Food Service Department operations by maintaining inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation of stock, placing orders according to company protocols, and following food safety and security procedures. The position is full-time at UF Health North in Jacksonville, Florida, with a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The listed pay range is $16.50 to $18.50 per hour. Requirements
- Previous experience managing accounts is required.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with Excel and Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Inventory and maintain food and other supplies to support efficient Food Service Department operations.
- Store food and supplies in appropriate containers and designated storage areas according to department guidelines.
- Maintain records and logs documenting storage temperatures for perishable food items.
- Date, label, and rotate stock so older products are used first.
- Order food and supplies according to product specifications and company ordering protocols and procedures.
- Secure designated areas containing potential theft risks, dangerous chemicals, supplies, and equipment, and follow storeroom security procedures.
- Transport food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure they arrive safely and intact.
- Follow HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies.
- Report needed equipment maintenance or repairs to the appropriate resources.
- Complete required daily, weekly, or monthly reports on time and in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer directions and applicable MSDS sheets.
- Use equipment according to department safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
