About The Position

Pet Supplies Plus is hiring daytime Store Team Members, primarily for weekdays, with some weekend availability. Team Members provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers and their pets, assist with product selection and animal-care questions, process purchases, stock shelves, and care for the animals in the store. Depending on the store’s needs, a Team Member may specialize as a Cashier, Stocker, or in Pet Care. The position can be physically demanding, involving heavy lifting of 40–65 lbs. and standing for long periods. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and pass a drug screening where applicable. Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.

Be knowledgeable about animals and products to provide customer service.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional, friendly service to customers and their pets.
Help customers select appropriate pet toys, food, harnesses, and other products; compare product ingredients when needed.
Educate customers about pet ownership and animal care.
Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
Provide Preferred Pet Club membership information and explain available offers.
Unload delivery trucks safely using proper equipment.
Stock shelves and maintain product availability.
Carry purchases such as kibble, cat litter, and aquariums to customers’ vehicles.
Care for store pets, including cleaning habitats, feeding, and handling animals.
Answer customers’ questions about animal care.
Provide backup support to coworkers when extra help is needed.
