Store Team Member-Daytime/Weekday (Cashier, Stocker, Animal Care)
About The Position
Pet Supplies Plus is seeking daytime Store Team Members, primarily for weekdays, with some weekend availability. Team Members provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers and their pets, help customers select products, answer questions, process purchases, stock merchandise, and care for animals in the store. Team Members may specialize in cashiering, stocking, or pet care. The position can be physically demanding, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Pass a drug screening in applicable states.
- Be knowledgeable about animals and products to provide customer service.
- Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Be able to lift 40–65 pounds and stand for long periods.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, neighborly service to customers and their pets.
- Help customers select pet products and compare food ingredients.
- Answer questions about animal care and help customers find or maintain a pet.
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
- Provide information about Preferred Pet Club membership and offers.
- Safely unload delivery trucks using proper equipment.
- Stock shelves with merchandise.
- Carry purchases, including pet food and litter, to customers’ cars.
- Care for store pets, including cleaning habitats, feeding, and handling animals.
- Support coworkers by providing backup when extra help is needed.
