About The Position

Pet Supplies Plus Store Team Members provide friendly, knowledgeable service to neighbors and their pets. Team members assist customers with product selection and animal-care questions, process purchases, stock shelves, and care for pets in the store. A team member may specialize in cashier, stocker, or pet-care duties. The role can be physically demanding, including lifting 40–65 pounds and standing for long periods. The company supports learning through interactive Pet Degree pay-for-knowledge programs.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Pass a drug screening in applicable states.
• Be knowledgeable about animals and products to provide customer service.
• Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 40–65 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, neighborly service to customers and their pets.
• Help customers select pet products and compare food ingredients.
• Fit pets with suitable accessories and answer animal-care questions.
• Process purchases accurately and efficiently.
• Provide information about Preferred Pet Club membership and offers.
• Safely unload delivery trucks using proper equipment.
• Stock shelves and carry purchases to customers’ cars.
• Care for store pets, including cleaning habitats, feeding, and handling animals.
• Act as backup for coworkers when extra help is needed.
