About The Position

Requirements

Be at least 16 years old.
Pass a drug screening in applicable states.
Be knowledgeable about animals and products to provide customer service.
Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 40–65 lbs. and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional, neighborly service to customers and their pets.
Help customers select pet products and compare food ingredients.
Fit pets with appropriate harnesses and educate customers about animal ownership and care.
Stock shelves and process customer purchases.
Care for pets in the store, including cleaning habitats, feeding, and handling animals.
Answer customers’ questions about animal care.
Safely unload delivery trucks using proper equipment.
Carry purchases such as kibble, cat litter, and aquariums to customers’ cars.
Provide Preferred Pet Club membership information.
Support coworkers by acting as backup when extra help is needed.
