About The Position

Pet Supplies Plus is hiring daytime Store Team Members, primarily for weekdays, with some weekend availability. Team Members provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers and their pets, help customers select products, answer animal-care questions, process purchases, stock shelves, and care for animals in the store. Team Members may specialize in cashiering, stocking, or pet care. The role can be physically demanding and requires heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must pass a drug screening in applicable states.
Be knowledgeable about animals and products to provide helpful customer service.
Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift 40–65 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional, neighborly service to customers and their pets.
Help customers select products and compare pet food ingredients.
Fit pets with appropriate accessories and educate customers about animal ownership and care.
Stock shelves and process customers’ purchases.
Feed animals and clean their habitats or cages.
As a cashier, process purchases accurately and efficiently and provide information about Preferred Pet Club membership and offers.
As a stocker, safely unload delivery trucks using proper equipment, stock shelves, and carry purchases to customers’ cars.
As a pet care team member, care for, clean habitats for, feed, and handle store animals, and answer customer questions about animal care.
Support coworkers by providing backup when extra help is needed.
