About The Position

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking daytime Store Team Members, primarily for weekdays, with some weekend availability. Team Members provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers and their pets, help customers select products and learn about animal care, process purchases, stock shelves, and care for animals in the store. Team Members may specialize in cashiering, stocking, or pet care. The role offers flexible schedules, career advancement opportunities, an employee discount, and interactive Pet Degree pay-for-knowledge programs.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years old.
Pass a drug screening in applicable states.
Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Be able to lift 40–65 pounds and stand for long periods.
Have knowledge of animals and products to provide customer service.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional, neighborly service to customers and their pets.
Help customers select pet toys, food, harnesses, and other products, including comparing product ingredients when needed.
Educate customers about animal ownership and care.
Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
Provide Preferred Pet Club membership information and explain available offers.
Safely unload delivery trucks using proper equipment.
Stock shelves with products.
Carry customers’ purchases, including bags of kibble, cat litter, and aquariums, to their cars.
Care for store animals, including cleaning habitats, feeding, and handling them.
Answer customers’ questions about animal care.
Provide backup support to coworkers when extra help is needed.
