About The Position

The Store Supervisor (SS) works under general supervision and follows established company policies and procedures. The position participates in staffing, productivity, tax preparation, and marketing management activities for one office or kiosk within an assigned district. It supervises one or more seasonal hourly staff members at a single location and regularly handles sensitive, highly confidential information and diverse business matters.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent related business experience.
Previous tax preparation experience and a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number).
Proficiency with computer software applications such as electronic mail, internet browsers, Word, Excel, and accounting or tax preparation software.

Nice To Haves

Course of study in management, tax preparation, and/or accounting.
One year of previous management or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Participate in staffing, productivity, tax preparation, and marketing management activities for an assigned office or kiosk.
Supervise one or more seasonal hourly staff members at a single location or kiosk.
Communicate with the Manager about recruiting, interviewing, and hiring seasonal employees for assigned locations when applicable.
Maximize customer service and increase sales.
Perform administrative functions.
Develop, review, approve, and monitor office work schedules and hours worked.
Monitor associate performance for adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and procedures, and correct errors or problems.
Review productivity reports, discount reports, AAG, and other reports, and take appropriate action where necessary.
Maintain a comprehensible filing system for filed, acknowledged, rejected, and complete tax returns.
Print client checks each morning and ensure timely distribution of refund checks.
Follow up with clients whose tax returns are void or on hold to persuade them to return to the office and file.
