About The Position

As a Merchandising Lead, you will execute sales-floor merchandising, pricing, and recovery while delivering excellent customer service. As an expert in assigned departments, you will carry out merchandising processes while maintaining brand standards and a customer-service focus. The role also includes supporting associate training, helping merchandise incoming product, and fulfilling the broader leadership responsibilities shared by all Lead roles at Kohl’s. This position requires the ability to perform the listed accountabilities, complete company training, comply with dress-code and safety requirements, and maintain prompt, regular attendance. Associates must meet scheduling requirements and be able to perform the physical requirements of the role. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform the accountabilities listed in the “What You’ll Do” section.
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation.
Ability to operate and communicate using multiple-frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. with a two-person lift.
Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull frequently.
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift, at least 8 hours.
Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
Ability to comply with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Execute store merchandising standards and follow merchandise and visual guidelines for product presentation.
Maintain appropriate product levels on the sales floor through remerchandising and replenishment based on sell-through and seasonal changes.
Execute merchandising accurately and on time according to company guidelines and brand standards.
Complete pricing activities, including price changes, sign changes, and ticketing, accurately and efficiently.
Follow and ensure adherence to product-protection standards, guidelines, and company policies intended to minimize product loss.
Support associate training on merchandising standards, product knowledge, and tools, as directed by store leadership.
Partner with associates to merchandise incoming product with a focus on customer experience.
Act with integrity and honesty, and foster teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture.
Use good judgment and discernment when making decisions, and involve appropriate partners as needed.
Demonstrate a customer-service mindset by anticipating customer needs and satisfactorily resolving issues.
Lead by example by meeting or exceeding individual goals, such as productivity, credit, and loyalty goals.
Deliver strong operational standards, shortage mitigation, and merchandising presentation, including accurate pricing and proper signing.
Accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
Train, monitor, and reinforce company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Maintain adherence to company safety policies for the safety of associates and customers.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Complete company training programs and comply with dress-code requirements.
Maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet company scheduling requirements.
