Full-Time Merchandising Lead

About The Position

As Merchandising Lead, you will execute sales-floor merchandising, pricing, and recovery while delivering excellent customer service. As an expert in your assigned departments, you will carry out merchandising processes in line with brand standards and customer-service expectations. The role also includes supporting and partnering with associates on incoming merchandise and helping train associates on merchandising standards, product knowledge, and tools as directed by store leadership. All Lead roles at Kohl’s are responsible for acting with integrity and fostering teamwork in an engaged, inclusive culture; using sound judgment; demonstrating a customer-service mindset; leading by example in meeting or exceeding individual goals; and delivering strong operational, shortage-mitigation, and merchandising standards. Leads also accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes, reinforce company policies and standards, maintain safety-policy adherence, and perform other assigned responsibilities. The position requires the ability to perform the listed accountabilities, complete company training, comply with dress code and safety standards, perform basic math and reading tasks, use basic computer and store technology, maintain prompt attendance, and meet scheduling requirements. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, occasionally lifting more than 50 pounds with a two-person lift, frequent movement and reaching, and standing or walking for the duration of a scheduled shift of at least eight hours.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform the accountabilities listed in the job description and satisfactorily complete company training programs.
Ability to comply with dress code requirements and maintain prompt, regular attendance while meeting company scheduling requirements.
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer-operation skills.
Ability to operate and communicate on multiple-frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with a two-person lift.
Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull frequently.
Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift of at least eight hours.
Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
Ability to comply with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Execute store merchandising standards and visual guidelines for product presentation.
Maintain appropriate product levels on the sales floor through remerchandising and replenishment based on sell-through and seasonal changes.
Complete merchandising in a timely and accurate manner according to company guidelines and brand standards.
Perform pricing activities, including price changes, sign changes, and ticketing, accurately and efficiently.
Follow and ensure adherence to product-protection standards, guidelines, and company policies intended to minimize product loss.
Support associate training on merchandising standards, product knowledge, and tools as directed by store leadership.
Partner with associates on merchandising incoming product with a focus on customer experience.
Act with integrity, honesty, and teamwork, and foster an engaged and inclusive culture.
Use good judgment and discernment when making decisions and involve appropriate partners as needed.
Demonstrate a customer-service mindset, anticipate customer needs, and satisfactorily resolve issues.
Lead by example by meeting or exceeding individual goals, including productivity, credit, and loyalty goals.
Deliver strong operational standards, shortage mitigation, and merchandising presentation, including accurate pricing and proper signing.

Train, monitor, and reinforce company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Maintain adherence to company safety policies for associates and customers.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
