About The Position

The Merchandising Team Lead drives sales and delivers a positive customer experience by creating attractive product presentations that are well-merchandised, accurately signed, and spaced for ease of shopping. The role leads the team in product placement, floor sets, signage, price changes, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. The Merchandising Team Lead works collaboratively with omni, operations, and selling teams to support merchandising and operational excellence and achieve store objectives. This is an hourly position with monthly bonus eligibility. The Team Lead communicates daily goals and key tasks, participates in weekly leadership workload planning, and uses inbound manifests, visual merchandising directives, planograms, and company tools to plan required labor. The role also supports onboarding, associate learning and engagement, customer service, replenishment, store recovery, fulfillment, and asset protection. The position requires a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and regular movement throughout store areas.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in visual merchandising or retail management.
Ability to use data, guidance, and judgment to make timely and effective decisions that contribute to team and business success.
Skills and experience to perform the role and commitment to continuous learning.
Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to store success by teaching, partnering, and encouraging others.
Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Comfort with technology, including smartphones, tablet computers, and Windows-based operating systems.
Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to regularly move throughout store areas and remain accessible to customers.
Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products, and lift, carry, and move at least 50 pounds.
Ability to push or pull receiving equipment weighing up to 500 pounds.
Ability to carry props, measure, climb ladders, and assemble visual elements or hang signage at heights.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and initiative in achieving store objectives and key metrics.
Lead the team in executing product presentations in alignment with visual merchandising directives, planograms, and brand standards.
Assist with receiving and processing inbound deliveries to support product readiness.
Guide the team in executing sale sets and price changes; print and prepare signs and monitor daily promotional updates.
Maintain equipment, devices, tools, and back-of-house organization to promote efficiency.
Communicate daily goals and key tasks, and model behaviors that build team knowledge and improve operational results.
Participate in weekly leadership workload planning meetings to plan and schedule merchandising, signing, and pricing tasks.
Use inbound manifests, visual merchandising directives, planograms, and company tools to determine required labor hours.
Adapt tactics and shift resources in response to changing circumstances, forecasts, and business needs.
Support onboarding, initiate teaching opportunities, and encourage associates’ continued learning.
Promote associate engagement, share team successes, celebrate achievements, and foster a positive store culture.
Support customer experience through excellent service, stock replenishment, store recovery, and coverage during key periods.
Lead store fulfillment support and asset protection initiatives in designated areas by executing omni and operations processes accurately and efficiently.
Follow product protection procedures, safety guidelines, and security protocols.
Regularly move around all store areas and remain accessible to customers.
Carry props, measure, climb ladders, and assemble visual elements or hang signage at heights.
