The Store Manager leads the day-to-day operations of a single Zales store, reporting to the District Manager. The role is accountable for sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and team-member growth and development. Through personal selling, leadership, and coaching, the Store Manager fosters a People First environment that promotes diversity and inclusion, lasting customer relationships, and a best-in-class customer experience. The Store Manager communicates performance expectations and corporate strategy, develops staff, and ensures consistent representation of the brand in customer interactions and store visuals. The role trains and coaches employees, resolves customer issues, analyzes performance and operational reports, identifies improvement opportunities, and implements plans to achieve sales and operational goals. It also promotes an inclusive and professional workplace, maintains accurate team-member records, ensures compliance with company policies, and keeps the store neat and clean. The schedule should be organized around the needs of the business, including opening and closing shifts and weekday and weekend work. During non-peak periods, managers should aim for a five-day, 40-hour work week; hours increase during peak selling periods. Regular scheduled attendance is an essential function. Travel to training sessions and business meetings, including air and overnight travel, may be required.
