About The Position

The Store Manager oversees Hot Spot store operations, leads and supports store employees, and ensures the store operates efficiently, profitably, safely, and in compliance with company policies and applicable laws. The role reports to the Area Manager for assistance and guidance and may include other duties as assigned. Managers must drive for work-related errands and off-site meetings.

Requirements

Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Good management skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Ability to operate necessary machines within the store.
Ability to work at least 44 hours per week and work weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including intermittent sitting, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Retail, grocery, or convenience store management experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties of an Assistant Store Manager.
Reconcile store operations paperwork promptly.
Help, guide, and support other store employees.
Forecast, order, stock, and merchandise products.
Recruit, lead, train, and motivate store employees; enforce accountability to achieve profitable results.
Handle operational and personnel issues within the store and report back to the District Supervisor.
Follow company policies and procedures and applicable state, local, county, and safety laws and regulations, including rules concerning alcohol, tobacco, money orders, ephedrine, and lottery sales.
Control inventory, cash, and labor.
Maintain store equipment and operate necessary store machines.
Process vendor invoices.
Verify that employees perform their duties promptly and professionally.
Ensure prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service; greet and thank customers and promote store specials.
Follow Hot Spot and Shell Store dress policies.
Use required store safety equipment.
Drive for work-related errands, including bank and post office trips, and attend off-site meetings as needed.
