About The Position

The Store Manager oversees Hot Spot store operations and employees, providing leadership, training, and guidance while ensuring profitable results. The manager is responsible for inventory, cash, labor, ordering and merchandising products, store paperwork, customer service, equipment, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws. The role reports to the Area Manager for assistance and guidance and may require driving to banks, post offices, and off-site meetings.

Requirements

Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Ability to operate and maintain store equipment and operate necessary machines within the store.
Ability to process vendor invoices.
Proficiency using a computer.
Ability to work a minimum of 44 hours per week and work weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed.
Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to use safety equipment within the store.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties of an Assistant Store Manager.
Promptly reconcile store operations paperwork.
Help employees and provide assistance or guidance when needed.
Forecast, order, stock, and merchandise products.
Recruit, lead, train, motivate, and hold store employees accountable.
Handle operational and personnel issues in the store and report back to the District Supervisor.
Follow company policies and procedures and applicable state and local laws concerning alcohol, tobacco, money orders, ephedrine sales, and lottery sales.
Comply with county and state laws, safety laws and regulations, environmental policies, and company procedures.
Control inventory, cash, and labor.
Verify that employees perform their duties in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service; greet and thank customers and promote store specials.
Follow Hot Spot and Shell Store dress policies.
Drive for work-related trips, including to banks, post offices, and off-site meetings.
