About The Position

The Store Manager oversees Hot Spot store operations, leads and supports store employees, and ensures the store operates efficiently, profitably, safely, and in compliance with company policies and applicable laws. The manager reports to the Area Manager for assistance and guidance and may be assigned additional duties. The role requires at least 44 hours per week, including availability for weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed. Managers must drive for work-related errands and meetings.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Ability to operate and maintain store equipment and operate necessary store machines.
• Ability to process vendor invoices.
• Proficiency using a computer.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to work a minimum of 44 hours per week and work weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Retail, grocery, or convenience store management experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of an Assistant Store Manager.
• Reconcile store operations paperwork promptly.
• Support, guide, recruit, lead, train, and motivate store employees, and hold them accountable for achieving profitable results.
• Forecast, order, stock, and merchandise products.
• Address store operational and personnel issues and report back to the District Supervisor.
• Follow company policies and procedures and applicable state and local laws concerning alcohol, tobacco, money orders, ephedrine sales, and lottery sales.
• Comply with county and state laws, safety laws and regulations, environmental policies, and company procedures.
• Control inventory, cash, and labor.
• Verify employees perform their duties in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service; greet and thank customers and promote store specials.
• Dress consistently with Hot Spot and Shell Store policies.
• Drive to locations such as banks and post offices and attend off-site meetings.
