Store Manager - Hot Spot
About The Position
The Store Manager oversees Hot Spot store operations and employees, ensuring profitable results, compliance with company policies and applicable laws, and prompt, courteous customer service. The manager should be able to perform the duties of an Assistant Store Manager, support employees, resolve store operational and personnel issues, and report to the Area Manager for assistance and guidance. The position includes driving for bank and post office errands and off-site meetings. The manager must work at least 44 hours per week and be able to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Ability to operate and maintain store equipment and operate necessary machines within the store.
- Ability to process vendor invoices.
- Proficiency using a computer.
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
- Ability to work a minimum of 44 hours per week and work weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use safety equipment within the store.

Responsibilities
- Perform all duties of an Assistant Store Manager.
- Reconcile store operations paperwork promptly.
- Help, guide, lead, train, and motivate store employees, and enforce accountability.
- Forecast, order, stock, and merchandise products.
- Recruit employees and manage store operational and personnel issues, reporting back to the District Supervisor.
- Follow company policies and procedures and applicable state and local laws concerning alcohol, tobacco, money orders, ephedrine sales, and lottery sales.
- Comply with county and state laws, safety laws and regulations, environmental policies, and company procedures.
- Control inventory, cash, and labor.
- Verify that employees perform their duties in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service; greet and thank customers and promote store specials.
- Dress consistently with Hot Spot and Shell Store policies.
- Drive for bank and post office errands and off-site meetings.
