About The Position

The Store Manager oversees Hot Spot store operations and employees, ensuring that store procedures, policies, and applicable laws are followed. The manager handles operational and personnel issues, controls inventory, cash, and labor, and reports to the Area Manager for assistance and guidance. The role also involves supporting employees, managing customer service, maintaining store equipment, and driving to locations such as banks, post offices, and off-site meetings. The listed duties are not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Ability to use a computer proficiently.
• Ability to operate necessary machines within the store.
• Ability to work at least 44 hours per week and work weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Retail, grocery, or convenience store management experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of an Assistant Store Manager.
• Ensure prompt reconciliation of store operations paperwork.
• Help store employees and provide assistance or guidance when needed.
• Forecast, order, stock, and merchandise products.
• Recruit, lead, train, and motivate store employees, and enforce accountability to achieve profitable results.
• Handle store operational and personnel issues and report back to the District Supervisor.
• Follow company policies and procedures and applicable state and local laws concerning alcohol, tobacco, money orders, ephedrine sales, and lottery sales.
• Comply with county and state laws, safety laws and regulations, environmental policies, and company procedures.
• Control inventory, cash, and labor.
• Drive to locations including banks, post offices, and off-site meetings.
• Verify that employees perform their duties in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure prompt, efficient, and courteous customer service.
• Greet and thank customers professionally and promote store specials.
• Dress according to Hot Spot and Shell Store policies.
• Process vendor invoices and operate and maintain store equipment and necessary machines.
