About The Position

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) at Costellos Ace is responsible for learning and executing the essential duties of a store manager. This position is designed to prepare individuals to effectively manage store operations, drive sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and lead a team to achieve business goals. The SMIT will gain hands-on experience and develop leadership skills necessary for the role of a Store Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store operations effectively.
Experience in training and developing staff to enhance team performance and customer service.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving business objectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, staff, and management.
Proficient in inventory management and merchandising to optimize store layout and product placement.
Ability to analyze sales reports and financial data to make informed business decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints and operational challenges efficiently.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by store operations.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of retail software and point-of-sale systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the management of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
