About The Position

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) at Costellos Ace is responsible for learning and executing the essential duties of a store manager. This position is designed to prepare individuals to effectively manage store operations, drive sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and lead a team to achieve business goals. The SMIT will gain hands-on experience and develop leadership skills necessary for the role of a Store Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store operations effectively.
  • Experience in training and developing staff to enhance team performance and customer service.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, staff, and management.
  • Proficient in inventory management and merchandising to optimize store layout and product placement.
  • Ability to analyze sales reports and financial data to make informed business decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints and operational challenges efficiently.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by store operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of retail software and point-of-sale systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Learn and apply strategies to drive sales and increase profitability.
  • Support the Store Manager in maintaining inventory levels and ensuring product availability.
  • Participate in training programs to develop skills in customer service, merchandising, and team leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer inquiries and issues.
