About The Position

The Store Leader Trainee is part of the store’s leadership team and helps lead store operations alongside one or more Assistant Store Leaders. The role executes merchandising and marketing initiatives, drives profitability, develops the store team’s skills, and ensures customers receive excellent service. The position is suited to someone who enjoys management teamwork and has previous supervisory experience. 7-Eleven provides training and promotes advancement from within.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to oversee customer service and provide leadership, training, and coaching.
Ability to manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and rewards program promotion.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance throughout employment.
Ability to multitask, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for store employees.
Support employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
Use profit-and-loss information and store reports to drive change.
Manage cash handling and fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program.
Maintain a clean and safe store by following health and sanitation procedures and ensuring products are presentable and in stock.
