About The Position

The Store Leader is responsible for leading the store, often as part of a leadership team that includes one or more Assistant Store Leaders. The role oversees merchandising and marketing initiatives, drives profitability, develops the store team, and ensures customers receive good service. Store Leader Trainees receive training to learn the business and prepare to lead a store. 7-Eleven emphasizes employee development and advancement from within.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to oversee customer service and lead, train, and coach store employees.
Ability to use profit-and-loss information and store reports to affect change.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer knowledge; Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.
A valid driver’s license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance maintained during employment.
Ability to multitask, bend, stand, and reach repeatedly, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but is not required for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee and provide customer-service leadership, training, and coaching for store employees.
Support employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
Use profit-and-loss information and store reports to drive change.
Manage cash handling and fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program.
Maintain a clean and safe store by following health and sanitation procedures and ensuring the store is presentable and products are in stock.
