About The Position

The Store Leader is the heart and soul of the store. Working with one or more Assistant Store Leaders, the Store Leader forms part of the store’s leadership team, executing merchandising and marketing initiatives, driving profitability, developing the skills of the store team, and ensuring customers are well taken care of. The Store Leader Trainee role offers training and development for candidates interested in store leadership. 7-Eleven emphasizes employee training and advancement from within and is hiring immediately.

Requirements

• Ability to oversee and provide customer-service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
• Ability to identify qualified applicants, develop leaders, empower employees, and encourage productivity.
• Ability to oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
• Demonstrated ability to use P&L and store reports to affect change.
• Ability to manage cash handling and fuel transactions and promote the rewards loyalty program.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean, safe environment and comply with health and sanitation procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer knowledge; Microsoft products, preferably Word and Excel.
• A valid driver’s license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance throughout employment.
• Ability to multitask, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; not required for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.

Responsibilities
