About The Position

The Store Leader is the heart and soul of the store and, together with one or more Assistant Store Leaders, forms the store’s leadership team. The role executes merchandising and marketing initiatives, drives profitability, develops the skills of the store team, and ensures customers are well taken care of. The Store Leader Trainee role offers training and development for candidates with supervisory experience who want to grow into store leadership.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to oversee customer service and provide leadership, training, and coaching.
Ability to use profit-and-loss information and store reports to affect change.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer knowledge; Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance throughout employment.
Ability to multitask, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is preferred, but is not required for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for store employees.
Promote retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
Use profit-and-loss information and store reports to drive change.
Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of the rewards loyalty program.
Maintain a clean and safe store by following health and sanitation procedures and ensuring the store is presentable and products are in stock.
