Store Leader (Manager) Trainee

About The Position

The Store Leader Trainee develops toward leading a 7-Eleven store and its leadership team. Working with one or more Assistant Store Leaders, the Store Leader executes merchandising and marketing initiatives, drives profitability, develops the store team, and ensures customers receive excellent service. The role includes training to learn the business and prepare for store leadership.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching to store employees.
Ability to manage cash handling and fuel transactions and promote a rewards loyalty program.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer proficiency; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance maintained during employment.
Ability to multitask, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee store customer service and provide leadership, training, and coaching to employees.
Support employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
Use profit-and-loss information and store reports to drive change.
Manage cash handling and fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program.
Maintain a clean and safe store by following health and sanitation procedures and ensuring the store is presentable and products are in stock.
