About The Position

The Store Leader Trainee role prepares candidates to lead a 7-Eleven store as part of its leadership team. Store Leaders and their Assistants execute merchandising and marketing initiatives, drive profitability, develop the store team, and ensure customers receive good service. The role includes training and development, with advancement opportunities supported by the company’s promote-from-within philosophy. 7-Eleven is hiring immediately.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for store employees.
Ability to manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and rewards loyalty program promotion.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer knowledge; Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.
A valid driver’s license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance maintained during employment.
Ability to multitask, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but is not required for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
Support employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
Use profit-and-loss information and store reports to affect change.
Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of the rewards loyalty program.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures, keeping the store presentable, and ensuring products are in stock.
