About The Position

The Store Leader is the heart and soul of the store and, alongside one or more Assistant Store Leaders, forms the store leadership team. The team executes merchandising and marketing initiatives, drives profitability, develops store employees, and ensures customers receive good service. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a management team and has previous supervisory experience. The company provides training and opportunities for advancement through its promote-from-within philosophy.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience.
Ability to provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching.
Ability to manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and rewards program promotion.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer knowledge; Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.
Valid driver's license from the state of residence and automotive liability insurance throughout employment.
Ability to multitask and perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
High school diploma or GED, unless the candidate has at least one year of retail management experience; the diploma or GED is preferred but not required for those candidates.

Responsibilities

Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for store employees.
Support employee retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
Oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
Use profit-and-loss information and store reports to drive change.
Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of the rewards loyalty program.
Maintain a clean and safe store by following health and sanitation procedures and ensuring the store is presentable and products are in stock.
