About The Position

The Store Director is accountable for retail team members at all levels and the overall operation of the store. The role leads the store in a manner consistent with Meijer’s leadership expectations and core values, with the goals of delivering an excellent customer experience and maximizing financial success. The Store Director maintains operational, merchandising, corporate, safety, and regulatory standards; supports financial stability and fiscal responsibility; and develops a team that meets productivity and customer-service goals. The role also builds relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
5 years of retail or service industry experience.
3 years of leadership experience, including management of leaders with direct reports.
At least 3 years of retail leadership experience.
Experience leading a retail or service operation with at least $40 million in annual sales revenue, through single- or multi-unit responsibility.
The position may require lifting, carrying, and other physical acts.
