About The Position

This entry-level clerk position makes gospel teachings, resources, and services accessible while fostering an environment of reverence and respect. The clerk helps customers make informed product decisions and provides exceptional service. The incumbent must be endowed and hold a current recommend. This is an on-call, seasonal position requiring flexibility. No benefits are available. The position operates in a retail environment.

Requirements

Must be endowed and hold a current recommend.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to complete internal customer service training within one month of hire.
Basic math, reading, computer, and cashiering skills.
Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well with others.
Ability to work under direct supervision and follow standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
Ability to work as scheduled and needed, including Saturdays and holidays.
Ability to meet physical requirements that may include standing for long periods, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and ascertain their needs.
Provide high-quality customer service and product knowledge to assist customers.
Develop an understanding of product contents and properties to serve customers adequately.
Answer customer questions about curriculum, proper clothing fit, and issues of similar complexity.
May provide personal fitting consultations to patrons at the distribution store.
Prepare merchandise for purchase.
Operate the point-of-sale terminal, finalize sales, and process returns.
May assist the store supervisor with attractive displays, presentation, and shelf inventory.
May assist the store supervisor with inventory and cycle counts.
May perform housekeeping to keep the facility, equipment, and storage areas in good condition.
Work as scheduled and needed, including Saturdays and holidays.
Assist with other operational responsibilities as needed.
