About The Position

This entry-level clerk position helps make gospel teachings, resources, and services accessible to customers. The role fosters an environment of reverence and respect, helps customers make informed product decisions, and provides exceptional customer service. The incumbent must be endowed and hold a current temple recommend. This is an on-call, seasonal position requiring flexibility, with work scheduled as needed, including Saturdays and holidays. No benefits are available.

Requirements

Must be endowed and hold a current temple recommend.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to complete internal customer service training within one month of hire.
Basic math, reading, computer, and cashiering skills.
Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well with others.
Ability to work under direct supervision and follow standard procedures and written instructions.
Ability to work as scheduled and needed, including Saturdays and holidays.
Ability to meet physical requirements such as standing for long periods, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Retail sales and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and ascertain their needs.
Provide high-quality customer service and product knowledge.
Develop an understanding of the contents and properties of products to serve customers effectively.
Respond to customer questions regarding curriculum, clothing fit, and issues of similar complexity.
May provide personal fitting consultations to patrons at the distribution store.
Prepare merchandise for purchase.
Operate the point-of-sale terminal, finalize sales, and process returns.
May assist the store supervisor with store presentation and shelf inventory.
May assist the store supervisor with inventory and cycle counts.
May perform housekeeping duties to keep the facility, equipment, and storage areas in good condition.
Work as scheduled and needed, including Saturdays and holidays.
Assist with other operational responsibilities as needed.
