About The Position

Fermilab’s Infrastructure Services Division seeks a Seasonal On-Call Groundskeeper to join the Grounds Maintenance Group in the Roads & Grounds Department. Under direct supervision, this role performs tasks to maintain Fermilab site roads, grounds, and related facilities. The position is onsite at Fermilab’s Batavia office and has no guaranteed minimum hours. Work may be required at any time between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m., and mandatory overtime may be required. The employee must also be available to respond promptly to snow removal needs at all hours. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid state-issued driver’s license.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of groundskeeping experience.
Previous experience in snow removal operations.
Availability to respond promptly to snow removal at all hours.
Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
Ability to work independently and harmoniously in a group setting.
Ability to abide by environmental, safety, and health regulations.
