About The Position

The Seasonal On-Call Snow Removal position provides flexible assistance to a 226-unit residential community in Hopkins, Minnesota. The role supports property operations and helps keep the community clean, safe, and well-maintained. Duties vary based on property needs and may include seasonal work beyond snow removal, such as pool support during summer months, grounds maintenance, common-area cleaning, and light maintenance. The position requires dependable communication and prompt responses to urgent or time-sensitive property needs, including weather-related events. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Employees are expected to provide courteous, responsive, and quality service to residents in keeping with the community’s Platinum Service® principles. Work is outdoors in varying weather conditions and involves manual labor, including shoveling, lifting, and carrying materials.

Ability to perform manual labor, including shoveling snow, lifting and carrying materials, and other physically demanding tasks.
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to operate basic maintenance and snow removal equipment safely and effectively.
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, including extreme cold, heat, and precipitation.
Ability to execute tasks independently and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Proficient computer literacy.
Reliable communication and prompt response when contacted for immediate property needs or emergencies.
Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on property needs.

Responsibilities

Assist with snow removal and shoveling during winter months.
Support pool operations, including opening, closing, and general oversight during summer months.
Perform grounds maintenance, including trash pickup, light landscaping, and common-area upkeep.
Assist with cleaning common areas and community amenities.
Support assigned light maintenance tasks.
Monitor property conditions and report safety or maintenance concerns to the management office.
Assist with additional operational tasks as needed to support property performance.
Respond promptly to urgent or time-sensitive situations and property needs, including snow removal, safety concerns, and weather-related events.
Provide courteous, responsive, and quality service to residents in accordance with the Platinum Service® program.
