About The Position

As a Seasonal Store Cleaning & Operations Associate at Kohl’s, you will help ensure a safe and clean environment throughout the store. You will perform daily cleaning tasks efficiently and complete operational processes as needed to support an excellent customer experience. The role also includes maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment, assisting with receiving and processing merchandise and fulfillment, and engaging with customers. Associates are expected to act with integrity, contribute to an inclusive and engaged team culture, use good judgment, provide customer-focused service, meet individual goals, complete tasks within established timeframes, follow company policies and safety standards, and respond proactively to direction. Other responsibilities may be assigned. The position requires completing company training, following dress-code and attendance requirements, using basic computer and communication equipment, and wearing personal protective equipment. Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements. Physical duties include lifting, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation.
Ability to meet scheduling requirements and maintain prompt and regular attendance.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift over 50 pounds with a two-person lift.
Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull frequently.
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.
Ability to withstand exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties.
Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
No retail experience required.

Responsibilities

Clean all areas of the store, including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles, according to company standards and procedures.
Use only approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Monitor and replenish approved chemicals and supplies, rotating and storing them in proper containers.
Complete and maintain required chemical, equipment, and maintenance training.
Perform basic equipment maintenance according to company guidelines.
Use company tools and technology to plan, communicate, and share information with the store team.
Support the operations team with receiving and processing products, stockroom operations, and omnichannel fulfillment as needed.
Greet customers and offer assistance with products and services.
Act with integrity and honesty and foster teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture.
Use good judgment when making decisions and involve appropriate partners as needed.
Anticipate customer needs and resolve issues satisfactorily.
Meet or exceed individual goals and complete multiple tasks within established timeframes.
Follow company policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and safety policies.
Receive and respond proactively to direction from supervisors, managers, and other company personnel.
Complete company training programs, comply with dress-code requirements, and maintain prompt and regular attendance.
