About The Position

The Seasonal Store Cleaning & Operations Associate ensures a safe and clean environment throughout the store by completing daily cleaning tasks efficiently and following Kohl’s standards and procedures. The associate uses approved cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment; keeps supplies replenished and properly stored; completes required training; and performs basic equipment maintenance. As needed, the role also supports store operations, including receiving and processing product, stockroom operations, and omnichannel fulfillment. The associate engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance. The position requires a customer-service mindset, integrity, teamwork, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to complete multiple tasks within established timeframes while following company policies and safety requirements. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. No retail experience is required. Flexible availability is needed, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Essential functions include completing company training, complying with dress code and safety requirements, using basic math, reading, handwriting, computer and store technology skills, maintaining regular attendance, wearing personal protective equipment, and working in varying temperatures and humidity. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds frequently (and occasionally more than 50 pounds with a two-person lift), frequent movement such as climbing, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling, and standing or walking for the duration of a scheduled shift. Pay range: $18.50–$24.05. Benefits vary by full-time or part-time status and hours worked.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
No retail experience required.
Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to complete company training and comply with dress code and health and safety standards.
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation.
Ability to operate and communicate on multiple-frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment and work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds with a two-person lift.
Ability to climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull frequently.
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
Ability to visually verify information and locate and inspect merchandise.

Responsibilities

Clean all store areas, including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles, according to company standards and procedures.
Use only approved chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Monitor and replenish approved chemicals and supplies, rotating and storing them in proper containers.
Complete and maintain required chemical, equipment, and maintenance training.
Perform basic equipment maintenance according to company guidelines.
Use Kohl’s tools and technology to plan, communicate, and share information with the store team.
Support receiving and processing product, stockroom operations, and omnichannel fulfillment as needed.
Greet customers and offer assistance with products and services.
Act with integrity and honesty, foster teamwork, and contribute to an engaged and inclusive culture.
Use good judgment, seek appropriate partners when needed, and anticipate and resolve customer needs.
